Lent is like time in the desert. It is modeled after the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert to prepare for his public ministry and just maybe this Lent we will understand Jesus’ time in the desert a little bit more intimately. You know from my previous posts of many of the ways that our parish is reaching out to provide opportunities for individual prayer and to stay connected. The diocese also has a page on the website which you can find on the link below with some great material to celebrate the liturgy of the word at home.
It is a great idea to watch Mass on-line or on the television and these resource can add greatly to you Sunday experience. We will continue to live stream Mass at 9AM on Sunday and then post it so that it can be seen later, Bishop Steven is doing the same in both Spanish and English, those Masses can be accessed at the above link.
The picture for this post is information about the Pope’s prayer at 11AM MDT on Friday March 27. Let’s all be part of that if we can!
